Notice anything new? 😀
WithWine is all about innovation and fresh perspectives and we've just released a fresh new look to the the screens that you use every day to better represent our personality and ambitions.
Above that though, we're hoping this update makes our product more enjoyable and easier for you to use, understand and love.
The greys are gone and we've replaced them with vibrant and contrasting colours, more white space and less clutter.
WithWine is an incredibly capable product, but one of the challenges of building software like ours is keeping it approachable and likeable for the humans that are using it.
As some of you would know, we're always pushing back on more buttons and more complexity because we know in the long term that's going to make it a harder product to learn and love. It's a fine balance and we think we do a pretty good job of it, but we're very proud of this latest effort.
Aside from the colour palette, we've made changes to the Menu items: changing a few of their names, updating the order in which they appear and spending way too much time updating their icons!

And for those of you who didn't know, all of this looks just as good on a mobile if you ever need to get something done in WithWine while on the go:

An added benefit of these changes is that they are more aligned with the look and feel of the latest version of the WithWine app that we released only a few weeks ago (available on the Apple App Store here and the Google Play Store here).
We hope you like these updates and that they make your day at work a little brighter and enjoyable.
Stay tuned for more coming soon!
We've added the ability to add more messages / disclaimers and collection of acknowledgment to the Checkout screen.
Now you can add messages related to Shipping within the Address section.
You might want to say "Please note that deliveries can only be accepted by persons of legal drinking age" or "Please expect longer than usual delivery times in the lead up to Christmas".
It will show up on the checkout and look like this:

To collect an acknowledgment of additional Terms and Conditions, you can do that too and have a checkbox appear that looks like this:

This is in addition to the ability to add a "Join our mailing list" checkbox that we released last week.
To use these new features, simply go to Settings > Website > scroll down to the Checkout Customisation section down the bottom and you'll see these fields:

We recently made some changes to the Customers screen, namely having the default list being All Customers rather than Mailing List Subscribers.
Unfortunately we broke a couple of the search filters in the process - in particular the Birthday filters and the "Who have Subscribed" filter.
Those filters have now been restored. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
For a while now you've had the option to provide customers with the ability to delay the dispatch of their eCommerce orders.
The order would appear in your Orders screen on the date it was ready to send out, or you could use the filter "Show Outstanding Orders (Not ready for dispatch)".
If you used this filter you could see the order but you couldn't see what date in the future the customer had selected.
Now you can within the Order Details side panel.
If you want to provide customers with an option to join your mailing list within the Checkout flow, now you can.
Simply go to Settings > Website > scroll to the bottom and you'll see this new box:

Rather than forcing everyone into calling their mailing list a mailing list, you can insert your own naming convention.
Eg. "Join our mailing list" or "Join our newsletter" or "I'd like to stay in touch" or "Keep me up to date with news and offers"
Hi there,
WithWine was born in 2014 because Richard had a vision for making it easier, more compelling, and more enjoyable for more people to buy more wine, more often, direct from wineries.
In Jan 2015 we released our first product, the WithWine app. It was iOS only and had its limitations but you told us we were onto something (If we did X, Y & Z).
From 2016 to 2021 we completed X, Y and Z. In 2022 we decided it was time to get to work on the original vision so we got started on v2 of the WithWine app and released it in November. This time around it supported both Apple and Android, Wine Clubs, emails, push notifications and even Apple Wallet. We were really proud of it... until we decided it needed to be better.
So we scrapped the entire codebase and started from scratch.
Today, we uploaded the new version to both the Apple and Android app stores. And we're so proud of it.
It's prettier, quicker, and... better.
We've always worked on the thesis that if we make wine easier (and more pleasurable) to buy direct from wineries, we'll be making it easier for you to sell direct.
There are no annoying "loading" spinners - it's super zippy! We received feedback that we needed to lean more heavily into imagery - so we made the winery profile feature a full screen image splash back rather than a tiled background image. Wine lists/flights are displayed beautifully on your Brand's profile screens. Everyone's shop page has text search. The Updates tab has been re-designed and delivers your email content (with push notifications but without Spam and Promotion filters getting in the way) to app users beautifully. When you do a club run, the customer's History tab is populated with the wines that are on route, with "Buy More" buttons at the ready. Customer credit balances load up seamlessly and automatically. Oh... and the login screen is cleaner and easier to use.
We could go on.
Anyways, it's up on the App Stores and available for your customers. We love it. We hope you do too.
